Promoted annually by TdB since 2006, Sorriso do Bem (Smile of Good) is the largest oral health and volunteer event in the world. The goal is to engage and mobilize the work of the world’s largest specialized volunteer network and thereby expand the number of young people assisted by the Dentist of the Good project. For this, dentists and students of good with the most impactful work of the meet for four days to participate in lectures, debates and forums, with the purpose of promoting an improvement of voluntary work and its social impact on the lives of the beneficiaries. It has already consolidated itself as one of the main worldwide meetings in the area of dentistry and social inclusion, in which oral health issues and humanistic issues are combined. The award-winning dentists and volunteer coordinators, companies and press, volunteer partners and, of course, the World’s Best Dentist.
In previous years, Sorriso do Bem featured lectures by professionals from different fields, such as Leandro Karnal, Marcelo Tas, Mário Sergio Cortella, Monja Coen, Contardo Calligaris, Juan Pablo Escobar, Valter Hugo Mãe, Guilherme Fiuza, Vânia Ferrari, Thalita Rebouças, Domitila Manssur and Gabriela Manssur. The event closes with a big awards party, which counts on the participation of great names of Brazilian music and the presence of personalities from the most diverse areas, such as Rodrigo Santoro, Mel Fronckowiak, Rodrigo Lombardi, Alice Braga, Gloria Menezes, Marco Ricca , Maria Gadú, Eliana, Nathália Timberg and Lu Grimaldi. For an hour and a half, the best volunteers of the year take the stage and receive awards for their work. Special highlight for the announcement of the World´s Best Dentist.
