BEST DENTIST IN THE WORLD YOU CAN BE THE BEST DENTIST IN THE WORLD
Throughout the year, volunteer dentists and coordinators have their work evaluated for our annual Sorriso do Bem (Smile of Good) award and training event. With the international expansion of TdB, the most important award of the event was created, that of the Best Dentist in the World.
For TdB, the Best Dentist in the World is the one who has done the most for their municipality. That is to say: in addition to providing care to young people and women, they have also made a difference in their city and region, achieving changes in public policies, media coverage, project promotion, and increasing partnerships and volunteers.
SORRISO DO BEM (SMILE FOR GOOD)
Promoted annually by the Turma do Bem since 2006, Sorriso do Bem is the world’s largest oral health and volunteering event.
It has established itself as one of the main global meetings in the area of dentistry and social inclusion, in which oral health and humanist issues are combined.
Objective
Engage and mobilize the work of the largest network of specialized volunteers in the world and, with this, enable the expansion of the number of Tdb beneficiaries.
Upgrading
Dentists and Students come together to participate in lectures, debates and forums to promote the improvement of volunteer work and its impact on society.
Awards
Dentists and volunteer coordinators, companies and the press that support us, partners and, of course, the Best Dentist in the World are awarded – title created in 2010.
In previous years, Sorriso do Bem featured lectures by professionals from different areas such as Leandro Karnal, Marcelo Tas, Mario Sergio Cortella, Monja Coen, Contardo Calligaris, Juan Pablo Escobar, Valter Hugo Mãe, Vânia Ferrari, Andro Stern, Daniela da Mata, Thalita Rebouças and Domitila Manssur. The event ends with a grand award ceremony, which features the participation of big names in Brazilian music and the presence of personalities from the most diverse areas, such as Rodrigo Santoro, Mel Fronckowiak, Rodrigo Lombardi, Alice Braga, Glória Menezes, Marco Ricca, Maria Gadú, Eliana, Nathália Timberg and Lu Grimaldi. For an hour and a half, the best volunteers of the year take the stage and receive awards for their work.
